Pieces of Glass

Sitting down but hanging way too low
Everything gets too dark for me
To reach your hand but it's gone
There's no time
The sun has forever shut down
And I seek for an answer in my mind
But there's nothing
Nothing for me to find
And I wonder if there were any happy times
I can't remember no loneliness in my heart
I get deep into, my ocean of lost memories
Haven't been happy since the first anniversary of you being gone
Scream for help just one last time
If nobody answers we'll leave tonight
I step into these pieces of glass
They carve into my skin
And though I have committed no sin
I have to see through my eyes that burn
So I seek for an answer in my mind
But there's nothing
Nothing for me to find
And I wonder if there were any happy times
I can't remember no loneliness in my heart
I get deep into, my ocean of lost memories
Haven't been happy since the first anniversary of you being gone
Pick me up
Instead of dropping me down
Nothing shines through this night
So there's no use to search for a light
Scream for help just one last time
If nobody answers we'll leave tonight
Scream for help
Just one last time

Embrace Yourself

Been running away from my room lately
It's like I feel that my sadness will stay there
At last it always comes after me
But that moment of peace helps me see
Straight through all the constant memories
And it’s not that I feel happy
But at least I feel joy
My muscles sore from all the running
My heart tired of constantly loving
But back there, where I live
I've found people who would try to dive
Into the blackhole inside my consciousness
To take me back into this place of stability
Without thinking about my ability
To turn all of their efforts
Into piles of anxiety
At least they try
Straight through all the constant memories
And it’s not that I feel happy
But at least I feel joy
I've been thinking about yesterday,
When a friend said “embrace yourself”
Everything looked a different way
‘Twas like opening my eyes for the first time
